Enzymatic Pretreatment Improved the In Vitro Ruminal Degradability of Oil Palm Fronds

چکیده
This study aims to increase the in vitro ruminal degradability of oil palm fronds (OPFs) through enzymatic pretreatment. The isolated fungi were selected based on their lignocellulosic degrading enzyme activities. Eleven successfully isolated, and activities evaluated. Three fungi, F1, F2 F4 selected, they identified as Trichoderma harzianum MK027305, MK027306 Fusarium solani MK027309, respectively. highest total gas methane production was produced when OPFs pretreated with an extract from 15 30 days solid-state fermentation T. MK027305 MK027306, Meanwhile, F. MK027309 after 45 amount volatile fatty acids. pretreatment using enzymes extracted increases apparent rumen degradable carbohydrate (ARDC) by 35.29% compared unpretreated OPF. showed that fungi’s acid OPF, hence improving livestock via increased utilization agricultural by-products minimal impact cost.

Disruption of Oil Palm Trunks and Fronds by Microwave-Alkali Pretreatment
In this study, lignocellulosic biomass from oil palm trunk (OPT) and oil palm frond (OPF) of oil palm tree, Elaeis guineensis, were treated using the microwave-alkali (Mw-A) method, and their chemical constituents, namely cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin, were analyzed. A number of instruments, i.e. FESEM, FT-IR, and XRD, were employed to analyze the morphology and structural changes of bio...
متن کاملBall milling pretreatment of oil palm biomass for enhancing enzymatic hydrolysis.
Oil palm biomass, namely empty fruit bunch and frond fiber, were pretreated using a planetary ball mill. Particle sizes and crystallinity index values of the oil palm biomass were significantly reduced with extended ball mill processing time. The treatment efficiency was evaluated by the generation of glucose, xylose, and total sugar conversion yields from the pretreatment process compared to t...

in the present study, the effect of e-64 at different concentrations (0.5, 1, 5 and 10 µm) added to (1) the ivm medium on oocyte nuclear maturation and developmental competence of ovine oocytes, and (2) to the ivc medium on embryonic development of ovine embryos were investigated.
Response surface optimization of ultrasonic‐assisted extraction of carotenoids from oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) fronds
Oil palm (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) fronds (OPF) are the most abundant oil palm solid wastes that are generated during oil palm agriculture and harvest. Palm oil and some other palm wastes have been reported to contain high concentrations of carotenoids with vital bioactive properties. However, the extraction and quantification of carotenoids from OPF have not been reported. In this study, ultra...
متن کاملStudy on Tar Generated from Downdraft Gasification of Oil Palm Fronds
One of the most challenging issues concerning the gasification of oil palm fronds (OPF) is the presence of tar and particulates formed during the process considering its high volatile matter content. In this study, a tar sampling train custom built based on standard tar sampling protocols was used to quantify the gravimetric concentration of tar (g/Nm3) in syngas produced from downdraft gasific...
